the little joke...
It all began when vocalist Jonny Cottingham met guitarist Dan Morrissey and
through a weekend collaboration in a friend's attic studio their creative
elements combined to produce something truly special. They then decided to
form God's Little Joke.
An advertisement in New Musical Express provided contact with Boston, MA drummer
Steve Kilroy. In August 2001 they recruited Chris Rapoza to be the bass player.
Later that year the band decided to fatten its sound with keyboards and brought
on Brad Solomon.
After
making their first EP Contagion with Anthony J. Resta at Bopnique Music in
Massachusetts and recording record two songs with Thom Panunzio (U2, Bruce
Springsteen, Ozzy Osbourne) at legendary Henson Recordings in Hollywood they
started playing a series of shows on both sides of the Atlantic alongside
well known acts as Sevendust, Filter, Puddle Of Mudd, 3 Doors Down, Staind,
Mushroomhead, Skinlab, Kittie, Kings X and Rubyhorse.
