The band has been creating a major buzz in the Northeastern United States
and in London England. They are currently being played on 18 college radio
stations - including WBRU - where Nirvana got their earliest radio play. God's
Little Joke is also getting spins on commercial stations like WBCN,
WAAF, WFNX, WHEB, WGIR, WLZX, WCYY,
WAXK, WHJY, KRTQ, WQXA, KSPI, WAVF,
KMRJ, WZZR, WXSR, KMBY, WANZ, WGMR,
KACV, WUBZ and have done in-studio performances on some of the
stations. God's Little Joke is close to charting at FMQB and will be interviewed
by CMJ as "a band to watch." They are also featured on XM
Satellite,
Sirius Satellite radio as well as XFM and BBC radio in the UK and are becoming
an audience favorite. Their song 'Sunspot' was recently the #1 downloaded
song on both Boston.com and BostonPhoenix.com - beating out major label signed
artists. A week ago a few TV shows reached out to the band to license tracks
for use on the shows.
What's new with the band? The band signed a licensing agreement with Revolver Records / Universal for distribution of their first full length CD titled A Moment Of Clarity in the UK and Europe. They are currently looking for distribution state-side. They also just released a CD single called "Daylight" with 100% of the proceeds going to the Station Family Fund - to help the victims of the tragic nightclub fire. This has attracted the attention of major national media outlets that are helping them spread the word on the single.
